Iceland on the brink of financial collapse. Some call Iceland the canary in the coal mine for the European economy. Can the top heavy bureaucracy of the EU get together in time to put together their own bailout for European banks, which is what is needed? It is telling about their incompetence when Russia is the one loaning 5 billion dollars to Iceland. Hopefully the individual leaders of the major European economies will get together and circumvent the EU circus and just get something done. Germany just realized the gravity of the situation this weekend. I was astounded that neither candidate mentioned this situation at all during the debate. The rest of Europe could be next, and it is deadly serious.
